Route To My Goals

I was taught a simplistic way of understanding how the mind systematically processes information. These are the 4 steps in the process. Each of the steps below equate to an elevation in awareness which is connected to our why.

  1. Unconscious Incompetence – You don’tknow that you don’t know.
  2. Conscious Incompetence – You know that you don’t know.
  3. Conscious Competence – You know it, but you have to work at it.
  4. Unconscious Incompetence – Automatic. (ex: brushing your teeth)

When goal-planning my life for the next two years. I find myself being general, but with an intention to have the correct frequency. I’ve made bad conscious decisions, that created needless obstacles. Going forward, I must be sure my goals are attainable, measurable, and prove to myself and society, that I aim to earn my liberty back through my actions. Words teach very little.  

Pivoting On The Training Balance Scale

Growing up, many role models and mentors helped me develop a great work ethic, which I honed through sheer willpower. However, as I grow in higher learning through my mistakes, I realized that I was missing something.

I discovered that hard work needs to be combined with purposeful action. Action sits on the right side of this illustration below. Action is important, but we have to have a strong enough why.  As long has the why has enough energy, action’s power is limitless.

Looking at my goals, I know the training balance scale is weighted heavily on the left side.  As I stated earlier, when we find our “why,” the how takes care of itself. We will perform the action of the “how” , if the desire is strong enough. My most costly life lessons have come when I took wrong actions, implemented the incorrect strategy, planned ineffectively, and failed to sufficiently consider the consequences of my choices.

Family Goals

I will communicate through daily phone calls to my core family group. I have created an email list, encompassing  the closest people in my life. I will write letters to my wife, kids, family members, and friends every one-to-two weeks.

I will take programming classes concentrated on mental health, substance abuse, and family life education, and I will complete a book report, on each class I complete to share with my family, and case manager.  I want to display the tools I’m learning through family programming, to understand how to better be present in my family’s life, while not physically there.

 I will share in readings of books with my children, and wife, that we select together. We will do reports on these books, and discuss our thoughts on the readings for intellectual engagement, when in person during visits.

Spiritual Goals

I will work on my mind and spirit,  by reading books written by those that have helped others. I have an outline of the spiritual,  and mental books I will read, and report on, inside of my release plan.  I will work to make amends with God, my family, and society.

I will take my time away,  to strengthen my personal internal fortitude, through daily prayer and meditation. I will align myself with accountability partners, who have proven themselves to be role models for correct behaviors, and we can hold each other accountable for progress.

Personal/Career

I will read the books outlined on the reading list included in my release plan to be given to my case manager. I will provide written book reports bi-weekly, and I will mail these reports to the probation officer back home simultaneously.

The books I’ve chosen to read align with my goals. My book reports will also be added to my personal website.   Those who offer support, can track my journey, and  validate my efforts of rehabilitation and growth.

My goal is to return as a productive member of society, earn an honest living, and repay my debts to society through hard work and dedication. I will have  a non-profit organization for the youth, and teach  them life skills through boxing and fitness.

 My first book will include life experiences that I’ve journaled in novels over the past seven years. These journals are personal, spiritual, motivational, and show real life examples of triumphs, my darkest times, and a sincere road to conscious awakening. This book will be available to youth, teenagers, and adults , who I will coach and work with in boxing and fitness. This book will available for free,  through my non-profit organization.

My second book, will catapult the boxing and fitness industry forward  decades. This masterpiece will be called The Boxing Sanctuary Institution for Higher Learning and Thinking.   This book shall serve as a guide for anyone wanting to do the following.

  1. Learn how to box
  2. Become a better boxing coach
  3. Open up their own boxing and fitness business
  4.  Help professional combat athletes obtain better outcomes.
  5.  Teach the nuts and bolts of being a master trainer in  boxing and fitness.

This book will have a subscription based app, that can be accessed and streamed on all smart device platforms.  All of the chapters from the book will have written explanation, and  pictures of the demonstration. 

The books smart device  app, will have  short clip videos, demonstrating the teachings, skill sets, and a special coach’s perspective application.

 The coach’s icon, is an additional subscription model.  I will show archive videos of live sparring, and fighters training inside our institution where I’ve coached. I will break down thing’s coaches should be mindful of while training the fighter. 

Additional revenue will be generated from the YouTube channel that will have deeper dives and personal interaction from myself. This will be a monthly subscription model, offered to those who want a personal touch,  and guidance on boxing training. We will do live workouts for the members, as well as paid consultative calls and seminars for members to attend.

 I will set an annual, in house schedule of planned seminars to have coaches and fighters come to our institution for 2 day paid seminars. We will also have the option to travel to their businesses to do seminars. There’s a stigma that coaches want to hold on to what they know. I believe, that you teach others what you know, once you’ve attained a certain level of competency in those areas.

I have a publisher that I’m working with that will assist me in publishing the books, and to work on the app for smart devices. This book will be available in all stores throughout the world, be sold on all digital platforms, and also have a Kindle version.

The one thing that’s certain of all of my goals,  is my willpower to do the works outlined above.
