Finding Meaning With the pivots of life
The dive into personal awaking of self begins with micro-steps. It takes a very small step to begin a lifetime of transformation. Author, Tim Grover, wrote in his book Relentless, great detail about embracing the pivots of life. He used clever analogies to compare basketball, and mental health. Sports philosophies, can cross pollinate to life experiences.
In life, it’s a good idea to know when to make the right pivots. A helpful key Tim Grover describes, is having a keen understanding of when we pivot and go away, don’t go away unconsciously unaware.
Know the reason we pivot away, and why that route was the correct choice.
When choosing to turn inwardly and go forward, that inwardly turn, comes from within. Then it manifests in the physical form. As within, so without.
Anytime we have turns in our lives, we have returned to us an emotion. Emotions equates to a disturbance. Thoughts and feelings ,condition the body to be the mind of our emotions.
Thoughts are considered to be the language of the mind. Emotions are considered to be the language of the body. We must at all times, create time to self-reflect on the present moment of our lives.
Time of reflection is what most consider mundane, arduous, or a waste of time. Time of reflection, allows reflection of our time. I’ve found significant embracing of pivoting towards meditation. Meditation is a small amount of time allotted, to still the ever racing mind spinning in unconscious revolutions. These revolutions of unconscious thoughts, consume us daily at every turn.
Each day, our minds are filled with thoughts that are wanted, and thoughts that are unwanted. It should be noted that our thoughts and desires carry a ton of momentum once they get moving. Conscious awareness is our ability to self-regulate the accelerator of these forces and not be thrown off by our egos.
It is read in many books that asking and receiving, share a different frequency. Praying can be attributed to asking. I believe once asked, it is given to us. Meditation can be attributed to the process of allowing what we’ve asked for to be given to us.
On a deeper awareness, meditation can show us the way, by giving us signs or answers that lead us to what we want. Signs follow, they never proceed.
We are shown the way by the signs. We have to still our minds, to be present to see our way. Once we pass the signs, they’re behind us. Our internal GPS system, is always guiding us the correct way through the way we feel.
My meaning and embracement of self, begins only in this present moment. I will continue to prove to myself and others, that no matter how hard life may appear to be, there’s an answer to every question we seek. There’s a solution to every situation. There’s a roadmap to every journey. Our job is to remain consciously present, take action when the feeling is right, and don’t hold inner resistance.
